Tammy Potts Honored By Legislature
On March 6th, 2024, the entire House of Representatives honored Basehor-Linwood Educator Tammy Potts for her service to education through the Kansas Mentor and Care Cats programs. She initiated the programs starting in 1999 and continued until her retirement in December 2023. In addition to the House Resolution, Tammy Potts also received a state award later in the morning from the Kansas State Mentor Association. She was accompanied to the podium by her husband. |

100th Birthday CelebrationRep Johnson presented a House Resolution honoring Clyde Wilbur Grisham on his 100th birthday celebration at the Basehor VMW, January 21, 2023. A packed house joined to celebrate the former soldier and original member of the Fairmount Township Fire Department.
The House Resolution was signed by the 5 members of the Leavenworth-Jefferson representative delegation: Rep. Johnson, Rep Neelly, Rep. Proctor, Rep Ron Ellis, and Rep. David Buehler.. Johnson also read a special greeting from Kansas Speaker of the House Dan Hawkins who commended Clyde for his 100 years of service to the community. |

On December 10th, 2021, Rep. Johnson spoke at and presented retiring Wyandotte County Sheriff Don Ash with a House Resolution honoring his service. Johnson, who served as Wy Co Undersheriff for 8 years, began his career in law enforcement in Kansas City, Kansas.
