Timothy H. Johnson

As a candidate for the 38th Kansas House seat, Tim Johnson has pledged to continue his efforts as a conservative "for kids and education." He began his professional career in law enforcement, where he served for 31 years. He rose to the rank of undersheriff in Wyandotte County, and would later serve as a chief of police in Lindsborg, Kansas. He also served as a Special Investigator for the State of Kansas in child abuse cases. |

His men’s and women’s high school power lifting teams won a combined total of 18 Kansas State Championships during the 11 years he coached them.
He has received several honors including Kansas High School Teacher of the Year in 2014, was named by the Kansas City, Kansas Rotary Club as KCKs Educator of the Year in 2008, and Outstanding Official by the Public Education Task Force in 1988 for his work in an anti-drug program while in the criminal justice field.
